Surgical Interventions

This maybe your choice

  • by having a form of refractive surgery to correct short- sight or cataract

or forced on you

  •  to correct damage to the ocular tissue such as retinal detachment or glaucoma.

What ever the reason or outcome it is still important to keep your Eye Care Professional informed and up-to-date. Please don't assume that your Ophthtalmic Specialist performing the procedure will pass on inofrmation to us, he won't!

Eyes that have had surgical interventions still need regular optometric care. Even if the vision is good, eyes maybe more sensitive to environmental changes and UV light. You may benefit from advise on lubricating eye drops and/or sunspecs.
