In spite of all the bad publicity smoking is still something that teenagers want to do. They ‘know’ it is harmful, they know that smoking causes Mums and Dads to die young because it causes lung cancer yet they still encourage their mates to join them in ‘lighting up a ciggy’.
However teenagers are less aware of the risk to their eyes.
Superficially cigarette smoke;
- makes eyes look old before their time,
- makes facial skin look yellow and wrinkly earlier than it should
